Confirmation of communicationImage

Frequently, radio amateurs will exchange QSL cards as confirmation of a contact between stations and frequently collect many hundreds of cards from around the world and use them to qualify for operating awards.

QSL cards must include the following, accurate information:

  • Callsigns of both stations
  • Time and date of contact in UTC or Zulu
  • Frequency
  • Mode of transmission
  • Signal report

Cards will be sent by radio amateurs, either directly to each other, or by using a recognised QSL bureau in their own country (Ours is organised by the Radio Society of Great Britain or RSGB) or increasingly by the excellent eQSL http://www.eqsl.cc
