SSB Field Day

The results of SSB Field Day 2009 can be seen on the RSGBCC website, see www.rsgbcc.org/hf/ . The club station achieved 16^th place out of 22 in the Open section, not a spectacular result but this was the first attempt at this section and as you can see from the write-up, things didn't go quite according to plan! However, it was an enjoyable weekend for all involved, and lots of things we can do to get it working much better next year. Amateur radio is very much a self-training hobby – as specified in our licences – and this is where it really does count.
